By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 1/6

2. The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records of the 2nd respondent vide refusal No:RFL/Sunguvarchatram/13/2025 dated 21.07.2025 and quash the same subsequently direct the 2nd respondent to register the settlement deed dated 21.07.2025.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for petitioner that in respect of the property comprised in the following survey numbers situated at Malaipattu Village, Kundrathur Taluk previously Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kancheepuram District, petitioner appointed one Hariharan as power agent to sell the above properties vide general power of attorney document No.1203/2013 dated 16.05.2013 on the file of S.R.O. T.Nagar, Chennai, which was subsequently cancelled by the petitioner on 04.06.2013 vide Document No.1371/2013 on the file of SRO, T.Nagar, Chennai.

212/7 0.05 2 acres 68 cents 3.1. Thereafter, a settlement deed was executed by the petitioner in favour of her husband Srikanth. When the settlement deed was presented before the 2nd respondent for registration, the same was refused registration stating that the said Hariharan had executed a sale deed in favour or one Bharath for the aforesaid properties and one Manoharan had executed a settlement deed in favour of one Ramakrishnan vide Document No.3708/2013 in respect of property comprised in Survey No.212/5. Aggrieved, petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

4. At the outset, it is submitted by Mr.U.Baranidharan, learned Special Government Pleader for respondents that petitioner may submit their response to the reasons set out in the refusal check slip. If any such representation is submitted, the same would be considered by the appropriate authority after issuing notice and affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner 3/6

and other interested parties. Agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.

5. In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of. It is open to the petitioner to submit her response within a period of two weeks from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for receipt of certified copy. If any such response is submitted by the petitioner, the 2nd respondent shall issue notice and affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, Bharath, Manoharan and Ramakrishnan, any other interested party and thereafter proceed to conduct enquiry and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law.
