By consent of both the parties, this writ petition has been taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 1/4
2. Mr. C. Selvaraj, learned Panel counsel accepts notice for the respondent.
3. This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representations dated 23.12.2020, 07.04.2021 and 07.05.2021, wherein, he has expressed his grievance for the non inclusion of his name in the panel of Senior Manager (General) drawn by Proceedings dated 10.4.2018 of the respondent. Since the aforementioned representations have not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.
4. Heard Mr.S. Venkataraman, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. C. Selvaraj, learned Panel counsel for the respondent.
5. On instructions, the learned panel counsel appearing for the respondent would submit that the promotion panel list was published in the year 2018 itself and the petitioner has not preferred the statutory appeal, within the prescribed time and therefore, the petitioner cannot seek for redressal of his grievance at this belated stage.
6. No prejudice would be caused to the respondent, if the representation of the petitioner is considered on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2/4
7. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representations dated 23.12.2020, 07.04.2021 and 07.05.2021 with regard to his grievance about the non inclusion of his name in the panel of the Senior Manager(General) drawn by Proceedings dated 10.04.2018 of the respondent, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
8. With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
