Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, praying to direct the respondent police to register the complaint against the proposed accused persons on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner to the respondent in CSR No.180/2016 dated 24.02.2016 and investigate the matter in accordance with law. ORDER

Invoking the jurisdiction of this Court under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the petition is filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the respondent police to register a case based on his complaint dated 24.02.2016. 2.It is apparent to note that the complaint lodged by the petitioner has been assigned C.S.R.No.180 of 2016 on 24.02.2016 by the respondent police.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that despite serious allegations levelled in the complaint and though C.S.R.No.180 of 2016 has been assigned by the respondent police, the respondent police has not given much importance and no case is so far registered.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that investigation is under progress.

5.Keeping in view of the nature of the complaint, this Court finds that it is better to issue a direction as sought for by the petitioner to register a case forthwith provided any prima facie case is made out.

6.Accordingly, the respondent police is directed to register a case based on the petitioner's complaint dated 24.02.2016, provided any prima face case is made out and take up the investigation within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
