Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.08.2016 requested to refix the scale of the petitioner as issued G.O.(Ms). No.234, Finance (Pay Cell) dated 01.06.2009 and to pay the arrears accrued thereon within a stipulated time.

O R D E R

The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction, directing the first respondent to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner on 24.08.2016,

in respect of refixing the scale of pay of the petitioner in accordance with G.O.(Ms). No.234, dated 01.06.2009. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner submits that the writ petitioner is working as an Executive Officer in Kollengodu Town Panchayat. In respect of the revision of scale of pay, he made a representation to the first respondent on 24.08.2016, based on G.O.Ms.No.234, Finance (Pay Cell) Department, dated 01.01.2009, but the representation submitted by the writ petitioner is still pending and the first respondent has not considered the same.

3.Thus, without going into the merits and the demerits of the case the first respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner on 24.08.2016 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, no order as to costs.
