Prayer:Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to release of the gold chain of the petitioner by disposing the petitioner's appeal/representation dated 30.04.2019 within the time as stipulated by this Court. This writ petition is filed to direct the respondents to release the gold chain of the petitioner by disposing his appeal/representation dated 30.04.2019.

2.Heard both sides.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the Revenue submitted that if the petitioner is willing to pay the duty liability, there will not be any difficult for the respondents to release the gold chain.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is willing to pay the duty liability. If that is the case, it is for the petitioner to approach the respondents and pay the duty liability so as to enable them to release the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

subject matter gold chain. Accordingly, the petitioner is directed to approach the concerned respondent within a period of 7 days and pay the duty. On receipt of such payment of duty, the concerned respondent shall release the gold chain forthwith. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
