JUDGMENT

(Judgment of the Court was made by K.GOVINDARAJAN THILAKAVADI, J.,) The Captioned Civil Miscellaneous Appeal is preferred by the appellant/Transport Corporation, challenging the judgment and decree dated 23.02.2022 made in M.C.O.P.No.170 of 2016 on the file of the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, (Chief Judicial Magistrate) at Vellore. 2.After appearance of the respondent, both sides suggested that the matter can be referred to Lok Adalat to explore the possibility of an amicable settlement between the parties. Accordingly, the dispute between the parties was referred for determination to the Lok Adalat at the District Legal Services Authority, Vellore. The parties have settled the case in the Lok Adalat held on 24.04.2024 at the District Legal Services Authority, Vellore. The scanned reproduction of the terms of the settlement and award is extracted as here under:

3. The award is produced before this Court which has been signed by both parties and counter signed by the respective counsel all in the presence of one another.

4.The counsel for the respective parties are before this Court. In view of the Lok Adalat settlement award dated 24.04.2024, this appeal in C.M.A.No.923 of 2024 is disposed of. The Court fee paid if any shall be returned to the claimants as per the Rules. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
