By consent of both the learned counsel for the parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal, at the admission stage itself. 1/4

2. The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus, directing the Respondent to consider the Petitioner's representation vide Letter dated 08.04.2025 and pass suitable orders.

3. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has joined as Junior Assistant in the Salem District Revenue Unit on 14.09.1992 and he has obtained Selection Grade in the rank of Assistant and he has also fully qualified to the post of Deputy Tahsildhar. It is the further submission of the petitioner that the District Collector, Salem had issued notification in Roc.No.8565/2019/A7, dated 02.01.2024 revising the Deputy Tahsildhar panel from 2004 to 2022. In the said panel, the petitioner's name was placed in Serial Nos.25 and 26, which is below the position of his juniors. In order to revise the petitioner's seniority, he has given a representation on 08.04.2025. According to the petitioner, he must be placed above one Tmt.Thamizh Mullai and such representation is pending with the respondent.

5. At this juncture, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that they will consider the petitioner's representation according to it's own merits and in accordance with law, within a reasonable time.

In such view of the above fair submission, without going into the merits of the writ petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.04.2025 and pass orders on it's own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
