ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner to protect the Check Dam constructed at Sellamuthunagar Stream (Odai) under Mahatma Gandhi NREGA Scheme, Kottupullampalayam Panchayat, Gobichettipalayam Taluk, Erode District.

2. A representation to protect the Check Dam was made by the petitioner on December 10, 2021 and soon thereafter, the writ petition was filed on December 15, 2021. In any case, the Check Dam in question is to be protected, for which no objection has been raised by learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to undertake adequate repair work to protect the Check Dam as some damage seems to have caused and is also visible from the photographs produced along with the writ petition. The repair work is directed to be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. W.M.P.No.28676 of 2021 is closed.
