Respondent PRAYER : Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.10.2016 for renewing the licence to sell the crackers for the petitioner shop situated at No.186, NSC Bose Road, Chennai - 600 001.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.10.2016 for renewing the licence to sell the crackers for the petitioner shop situated at No.186, NSC Bose Road, Chennai - 600 001.

Today, when the matter was taken up, the learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that the application of the petitioner has been rejected by the respondent by an Order dated 25.10.2016 and it has been sent to the petitioner by post. He would further submit that, if the petitioner submits a fresh representation seeking permission to install a shop in the Theevu Thildal area, his representation will be considered. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

In view of the submission of the Additional Government Pleader, the petitioner is directed to submit an application to the authority concerned and in the event of submitting such application, the respondent is directed to pass an appropriate order on the said application in accordance with law. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
