The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent authority to take appropriate action by considering his representation dated 17.10.2016 to give police protection and permission to conduct ADAL PADAL programme in Vaalur Arulmigu Sree Samundeswari Amman Temple Festival, Natrampalli Taluk, Vellore District on 28.10.2016.

It is seen that this petitioner has sent the representation dated 17.10.2016 by post to the Inspector of Police, Kandili Police Station for the purpose of conducting cultural programme (ADAL PADAL) in connection with Vaalur Arulmigu Sree Samundeswari Amman Temple Festival, on 28.10.2016. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. In a case of this nature, this Court cannot give a direction as prayed for by the petitioner. However, the petitioner is directed to go in person and give a representation to the respondent police and on such representation being given, the respondent police is directed to enquire into the same and depending upon the law and order situation, take action in accordance with law.

With the above direction, the writ petition is closed. No costs.
