This petition is filed to enlarge the petitioner on bail pending investigation in Crime No.450 of 2023 registered for the offences under Section 4 (1) (aaa), 4 (1-A) (ii) of Tamilnadu Prohibition Act, on the file of the respondent Police.

2.It is the submission of learned counsel for the petitioner that this case is a false case foisted against the petitioner. He is in judicial custody from 18.08.2023. Thus, he seeks bail.

3.In response, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner was found with the illegal possession of 120 liters of I.D. arrack and he has one similar previous case pending against him. Thus, he opposed to grant bail to the petitioner.

4.Considering the fact that the petitioner has one similar case pending against him and that investigation in this case is not completed, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. 1/2 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
