Sub Application No.508 of 2019:
To restrain the respondent from filling up the post of Director of Public Libraries by recruitment by transfer in relaxation of service qualification prescribed under the service Rules, pending disposal of Contempt Petition. Sub Application No.549 of 2019:
To grant further period of one year from 14.11.2019 to 13.11.2020 to complete the process of filling up the post of Director of Public Libraries by the 4th method of appointment.

ORDER
Pursuant to the observation made by this Court on 22.11.2019 that the first respondent would be despatching the formal request to the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission to initiate the process of recruitment of the Director of Public Libraries as per the rules, today Mr.C.Munusamy, learned Special Government Pleader for the first respondent submitted that the order has been complied 2/4
with by forwarding the request to the second respondent.
2. Ms.C.N.G.Niraimathi, learned standing counsel for the second respondent, agreeing to the said submission, stated that the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission has received the formal official request from the Government to initiate the recruitment process for appointing the Director of Public Libraries as per the rules. She also stated that within 10 to 12 months, the process for recruiting a new and eligible Director of Public Libraries would be complete and thereafter, the Directorate of Public Libraries would be manned by a competent person.
3. Recording her statement, the contempt petition stands closed. Consequently, Sub Application Nos.508 & 549 of 2019 are also closed.
