ORDER
This writ petition is filed seeking for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the 3rd respondent to issue patta to the Survey No.111/1A1 and 1/4
111/1A3 to the petitioner considering the petitioner's representation dated 08.08.2022 based on the forwarding letter of the 2nd respondent dated 24.08.2022 to the 3rd respondent.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the subject properties in Survey Nos.111/1A1 and 111/1A3 to the extent of 4.45 acres was assigned to the petitioner's husband's grandfather namely Mr.Munikan. Subsequently, after the death of her father-in law, the petitioner made an application before the first respondent on 04.11.2016 to issue patta in her favour, however, no actions were taken. Pursuant to several representations to the respondents officials, the second respondent sent a forwarding letter O.M.No.A2/4105/2022 to the third respondent on 24.08.2022 to report and take action on the representations of the petitioner. However, no order was passed till date. Hence, this petition.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner seeks this Court for issuance of direction for the second respondent to conclude the proceedings in letter No. O.M.No.A2/4105/2022 dated 24.08.2022 within a reasonable time as fixed by this Hon'ble Court.
4. Heard the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the 2/4
respondents and perused the materials available on record.
5. Considering the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, this Court directs the second respondent to conclude the proceedings in letter No. O.M.No.A2/4105/2022 dated 24.08.2022 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as any other interested parties within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
