O R D E R
This civil revision petition seeks for expeditious disposal of O.S.No.4875 of 2021 on the file of the learned XVII Additional Judge, City Civil Court at Chennai.
2. When the matter came up for admission on 14.10.2024, I called for a report from the learned XVII Additional Judge as to how long she would require to dispose of the suit in O.S.No.4875 of 2021. The learned XVII Additional Sessions Judge has sent a report and the same has been received on 21.10.2024. A perusal of the report shows that the suit was originally presented before this Court as C.S.No.734 of 2010. Thereafter, it has been transferred to the XVII Additional City Civil Court at Chennai and re-numbered as O.S.No.4875 of 2021. The report further states that the suit has been posted on 29.10.2024.
3. Considering the fact that the civil revision petitioner is a senior citizen and the suit is pending for the past 14 years, there shall be a direction to the learned XVII Additional Judge, City Civil Court at Chennai, to dispose of the suit in O.S.No.4875 of 2021 within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4
4. Accordingly, the civil revision petition is ordered. There shall be no order as to costs.
