PRAYER : This petition has been filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to call for record and quash the FIR No.259 of 2022 on the file of the Respondent police against the Petitioner.

ORDER
The petitioner herein filed this petition to call for record and quash the FIR No.259 of 2022 on the file of the Respondent police against the Petitioner.
2. The case of the prosecution is that on 24.05.2021, one Kaliammal lodged a complaint before the respondent police stating that her daughter was missing. Thereafter, she came to know that her daughter was eloped with her relative one Vijayaraja/petitioner and married him. Subsequently, her daughter got pregnant, and on 10.08.2022 taken to the Government Hospital, Mayiladuthurai, for delivery, when she lodged a complaint against the petitioner to the respondent police and FIR was lodged in crime No. 259 of 2022.
3. When the matter is taken up for hearing both the parties filed joint compromise memo and prayed to quash the FIR. On perusal of the statement given by the victim, it reveals that she eloped with the petitioner with her consent and she married the petitioner living with child. Considering the statement of the victim and the compromise memo filed by the parties, this Court is inclined to quash the FIR in crime No. 259 of 2022.
4. In the result, this petition is disposed of. Consequentially connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
