JUDGMENT
This petition is filed against the Judgment and Decree made in MCOP No.750 of 2021 dated 14.03.2025 on the file the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, Special District Court. No.1, Cuddalore
2. Today when the matter is taken up for hearing the learned counsel for the appellant filed a Joint Memo of Compromise which reads as follows:- "1. The above appeal has been filed by the appellants/2nd respondent Insurance Company against M.C.O.P.No.750 of 2021 on the file of the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Special District Court No.1, Cuddalore.
2. In the above MCOP No.750 of 2021, the Tribunal has passed an award of Rs.6,86,000/- with interest at 7.5% p.a in favour of the 1st Respondent/Petitioner.
3. The appellant and the first respondent have negotiated for settlement and arrived a sum of Rs.5,61,000/- with interest and cost.
4. The 1st Respondent/petitioner is willing to accept the same. The modified award amount shall be transferred to the account of the 1st respondent/Petitioner and the Appellant has agreed to transfer the award amount within a period of four weeks from the date of receiving the order.
5.It is prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to record the Joint Memo of compromise and pass an award for Rs.5,61,000/- in favour of the 1st Respondent /petitioner. The appellant/2nd respondent shall transfer the award amount into the account of the 1st respondent/petitioner, Mr.D. Thambidurai, Indian Overseas Bank, PudupalayamCuddalore Branch, SBI Acc.No.177801000021370, IFSC
Code- IOBA0001778 by NEFT Transfer within a period of four weeks from the date of order.
3. Recording the terms of the Memorandum of Compromise this Appeal is disposed of. The terms of the Memorandum of Compromise shall form part of the order. No costs. Consequently the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
