PRAYER:

Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records of proceeding under Na.Ka.No A4.885/2016 dated 05.09.2016 of the respondent No.1 and quash the impugned order of respondent No.1 and direct the respondent No.1 to restore joint cheque signing power of the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petitioner & also order respondent No.2 to compensate the petitioner for mental agony caused due to repeated illegal acts done by its officials.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed challenging the order of the first respondent taking away the cheque signing power of the petitioner, who was elected as Vice President of the Thiruppeyar Village Panchayat in Villupuram District.

2. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the term of office of the Vice President had expired in the year 2016 and hence, the prayer sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous.
