This petition has been filed under section 372 of the Indian Succession Act, 1925 seeking issuance of a Succession Certificate with respect to the deposits held by B.Basheer Bee, who died as a spinster on 16.01.2015.

2. Since B.Basheer Bee died as a spinster, the sister of the Petitioner, B.Begam Bee is only her class-II legal heir. B.Basheer Bee left behind deposits in Indian Bank, Ashok Nagar branch. Publication was effected. The petitioner was examined herself as PW-1. The death certificate of B.Basheer Bee was marked as Ex.P2. The details relating to the bank deposits held by B.Basheer Bee were marked as Ex.P4 and Ex.P5. The paper publication effected was marked as Ex.P7.
