Respondent PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying to direct the Respondent Police to complete the investigation in Cr.No.380 of 2019 and file final report. For Petitioner : Mr.T.G.Ravichandran For Respondent : Mr.C.Iyyapparaj Additional Public Prosecutor

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to file the final report in Crime No.380 of 2019 on the file of the respondent.

2.The FIR came to be registered on 27.07.2019 for offences under Sections 406, 420, 294(b), 506(1) of IPC and within 1 1⁄2 months from the date of registration of the FIR, the petitioner has filed this present petition seeking for completion of the investigation within a stipulated time. I am unable to comprehend as to how this petition could be maintained, when adequate time has been extended to the Investigation Officer to complete the investigation.

3.In my view, the prayer itself is pre-mature. Nevertheless, if the petitioner is of the view that after considerable time, the investigation is being prolonged, it is open to him to file an application at a later stage.
