ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to

consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.08.2024 for issuance of death certificate for Amalraj. The said Amalraj is brother's son of the petitioner. The brother of the petitioner went missing from 07.09.2007, for which, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the Kalathur Police Station. Hence, the petitioner made a representation before the respondents seeking to issuance of death certificate and the same was not considered. Hence, the present writ petition.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may issue a direction toe the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the second respondent will be considered the petitioner's representation and orders will be passed within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this Court directs the second respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 26.08.2024 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 12.09.2024 rli To
