PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, direct the respondents to make suitable entries in the UDR, A-Register and other relevant revenue records based on the petitioner's representation dated 26.06.2024 and taking note of the D-Card patta issued in favour of the petitioner's father dated 14.01.1978 within a time stipulated by this Court.

By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as respondents, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner herein seeks a direction to respondents to make correction in the revenue records with regard to classification of the property in Survey No.255/2 situated at Komaranapalli Village, Thenkanikottai Taluk, Krishnagir District.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that the above mentioned property was assigned in favour of his father on 14.01.1978 under D-card patta. During UDR updation, the said property was wrongly classified as "Grazing land". Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation on 06.03.2024 seeking correction in the revenue records with regard to classification. The same has 2/6

not been considered. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court by way of this writ petition.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader, who is taking notice for the respondents, submitted that the representation of the petitioner will be considered on its' own merits within a time fixed by this Court.

5. In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 06.03.2024 and pass final orders on its' own merits within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

6. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 20.09.2024 Index : Yes/No nr 3/6
