ORDER
The writ petition was filed to issue a Writ of declaration declaring the MBBS, BDS course (Special Category) 2024-2025 session provisional list of candidates allotted published by the first respondent in their website on 23.08.2024, in so far as it relates to sports quota is concerned, as null and void arbitrary and consequently, direct the respondents 1 and 2 to conduct fresh counselling, after publishing the marks obtained by all the candidates, mentioning their discipline and further dropping the candidates, who have exhausted the sports quota by opting for the Engineering seat in Tamil Nadu Engineering admission.
2. When the matter came up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner would submit that, when it is pointed out by the Court that the academic year itself is now over and the next academic year has commenced, the learned counsel would further submit that the petitioner had got selected to the veterinary science course under the sports quota and is pursuing the said course.
3. In view thereof, at this belated point of time, no relief can be granted as prayed for in the writ petition. Needless to mention that, instead of showing the marks to the particular candidates, it would be helpful if the appropriate authorities namely, the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu, publish the marks in a transparent manner, so that objection, if any, can be made to any particular candidature at the earliest.
4.With the said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. 05-01-2026 ari
