This petition have been filed to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.2055 of 2017 on the file of the XVIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai for the offences nder sections 498 [A] and 406 of IPC.

3. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed for non prosecution. However, the Trial Court is directed to expedite the trial and dispose of the case in C.C.No.2055 of 2017 within a period of six months. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
