Seeking a direction to the respondent to register a case, based on the complaint dated 19.02.2015, this petition has been preferred by the petitioner before this Court, after invoking proviso to Section 482 of Cr.P.C.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.
3. It is represented that the petitioner lodged a complaint with the respondent police and on the said complaint, the petition enquiry is pending in CSR No.85 of 2016.

Hence, the respondent police is directed to conduct enquiry in CSR No.85 of 2016 and register a case, if any cognizable offence is made out, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and take action in accordance with the law laid down by the Honourable Apex Court in Lalita Kumari vs. Govt. of U.P. & others [2013 (4) Crimes 243 (SC)]..
