This Petition has been filed under Section 372 of the Indian Succession Act, seeking Succession Certificate with respect to the debts of A.Prema, who died intestate on 12.12.2019.

2. The petitioner is her son. His father died on 05.11.1991. His paternal grandfather was employed in the postal department as Subpost Master and retired from service on 30.06.1976. He died on 13.02.1998. Till that date, he was paid pension. The paternal grandmother of the petitioner had died on 02.12.1985.

3. The present petition has been filed to get the arrears of pension payable to the grandfather K.R.Govindasamy. The sister of the mother of the petitioner had given no objection.

4. Paper publication was effected. The petitioner was examined as PW-1. He marked the death certificate of his grandfather and grandmother as Exs. P-1 and P-2 and of his mother and father as Exs. P-5 and P-7, the legal heirship certificate of his mother was marked as Ex.P-6. The documents relating to the pension were marked as Exs. P-11 to P-14.

5. In view of the evidence presented, this Petition stands allowed as prayed for and a direction for grant of Succession Certificate to the petitioner with power to collect the debts and to receive the interest specified in the schedule is issued.
