The petitioner herein, who got an order of suspension of sentence with condition to deposit 20% of the compensation amount within a period of 30 days, was not able to comply with the order. Hence, he came before this Court seeking extension of time.

2. This Court already granted 30 days time from 29.07.2024 for the petitioner to deposit the conditional amount. The petitioner was not able to deposit the money within the time prescribed by the Court, due to the accident of his mother. Therefore, the petitioner after taking a Demand Draft for a sum of Rs.1,28,400/- on 10.09.2024, is before this Court seeking extension of time, since the time is expired on 29.08.2024.

3. The petitioner has shown his bonafide by drawing the Demand Draft equal to 20% of the compensation amount, though it is delayed by 12 days.

4. Having complied with the condition, the delay is condoned and time to deposit the demand draft drawn is up to 30th of this month and the other conditions imposed by the lower appellate Court for granting suspension of sentence is confirmed.
