O R D E R
The prayer sought for herein is for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 13.07.2022 to provide electricity connection to the petitioner's residence at No.6/242/, Pichapakkam Main Road, Pinnavasal Village, Thirukkaaravasal, Tiruvarur District. 1 / 4
2. The petitioner claims that she is the owner of the dwelling house at No.6/242/, Pichapakkam Main Road, Pinnavasal Village, Thirukkaaravasal, Tiruvarur District, and for the said dwelling house, she wanted to have domestic service connection. She made an application dated 13.07.2022 to the respondent TANGEDCO along with the documents like Tax Receipts, certificate issued by the VAO etc., However, the said application since was not considered, she has approached this Court with the present writ petition.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner reiterated the aforesaid facts and seeks the indulgence of this Court.

Heard the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent, who on instructions would submit that there has been an objection by a third party claiming that he is the owner of the property in question, where the petitioner claims service connection. Therefore, the application of the petitioner has not been processed and is kept pending.
5. If at all the petitioner is able to establish that she is the owner of the property, for which it she is ready and willing to produce documents to substantiate her contention, it is open to the petitioner to produce the same to 2 / 4
the respondent TANGEDCO and on receipt of the same, the respondent can take a decision as to whether the domestic service connection can be provided to the petitioner or not.
6. In that view of the matter, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following order.
"That there shall be a direction to the respondent to process the application of the petitioner if the respondent is satisfied that the petitioner is the owner of the subject property or she has produced the documents to substantiate her contention that she is the owner of the property and accordingly pass orders thereon within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
