Respondents Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Section 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus forbearing the respondents or their men, agents from interfering with the peaceful conduct of business i.e. cross massage in the name and style of "Ancients Therapy & Spa at No.72, Ashok Nagar, 4th Avenue, Chennai - 600 082.

O R D E R

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Chinadurai, learned Government Advocate accepting notice on behalf of the respondents and with the consent on either side, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

The petitioner's case is that he is carrying on business in the name and style of "Ancients Therapy & Spa at No.72, Ashok Nagar, 4th Avenue, Chennai - 600 082, for the past one year and in his massage parlour, he is following the Kerala Traditional Treatment, viz., Ayurveda massage, which cures many illness in the body including the nervous disorder. There is no law regulating this kind https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

of business and no license is required from the respondent police in terms of the Chennai City Police Act.

3. It is the reported today that "Ancients Therapy & Spa" was given licence only as Hair cutting Saloon with AC and the period of licence has expired on 31.03.2016 and therefore the petitioner cannot run the business unless and until his licence is renewed.

4. In such view of the matter, the prayer as sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted. Hence the writ petition dismissed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
