This petition is filed for a direction to the respondent corporation to pay last drawn wages of Rs.13,482/- every month under Section 17(b) of the I.D. Act till the disposal of the writ petition and to deposit the entire back wages for the period from 26.09.2019 (the date of dismissal) to 20.11.2021 (date of order passed by the authority) and also permitting the petitioner to withdraw the 50% of the back wages and to withdraw the periodical interest of the remaining amount.
2. The petitioner in his sworn affidavit stated that he was not gainfully employed and even after his best efforts he was not able to get any employment. The petitioner has further stated that he and his family are starving because of non-employment. The respondents have not filed counter denying the said averments of the petitioner, even the claim of the petitioner that his last drawn wage was Rs.13,482/- per month is not denied by the respondents.

3. In the light of the above, a direction is issued to the 1st respondent to pay the petitioner last drawn wages of Rs.13,482/- under Section 17(b) of the I.D. Act every month starting from April and thereafter, every month on or before 10th of the month. The 1st respondent is further directed to pay the arrears of 17(b) wages from the date of the writ petition (15.06.2022) till the date of the payment within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
