ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 24.03.2022 filed by the petitioner.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was granted assignment of land measuring 0.36.5 ares vide the Order dated 28.02.2006 having reference Ni.Mu.DR80/1415 and is putting the same into cultivation. However, on the complaint of one Mr.Poiyamozhi on 17.07.2017, the second respondent cancelled the said assignment of land vide order dated 01.03.2022 in Na.Ka.B2/4324/2017. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner preferred appeal before the first respondent on 24.03.2022 which is pending without consideration. Hence, he seeks for disposal of the appeal dated 24.03.2022 within a reasonable time as fixed by this Court.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents and perused the materials placed on record.

Considering the facts and circumstances of this case and having regard to the submissions of the learned counsel, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to take up and dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 24.03.2022 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
