ORDER
This Contempt Petition arises out of the order passed by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.19560 of 2021, dated 24.11.2021.
2.Earlier, the petitioner filed Crl.O.P.No.19560 of 2021 seeking direction to the respondent Police to complete investigation and file final report in Crime No.72 of 2020, in which, this Court, by order, dated 1/4
24.11.2021 directed the respondent Police to complete the investigation, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. Since no action taken by the respondent Police despite direction of this Court, pre-contempt notice dated, 12.07.2022 was issued and the same was received by the respondent Police on 13.07.2022. Thereafter too, no action has been taken. Hence, the above petition is filed. 3.Learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent Police submitted that the investigation in Crime No.72 of 2020 completed and charge sheet filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Kalasapakkam, Thiruvannamalai District, for offence under Sections 147, 294(b), 323, 307 and Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Protection of Interests of Depositors (In Financial Establishments) Act, 1997 in P.R.C.No.
3 of 2023. He further submitted that previously, the case came up for hearing on 26.02.2023 and thereafter, adjourned to 25.05.2023 since some of the accused not appeared. In this case, there are 23 accused, the respondent Police has taken steps to serve summons to all the accused. Further, he ensured the presence of all the accused before the Court on next hearing date i.e., on 25.05.2023.
