This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a Mandamus, directing the first respondent to dispose of the pending statutory appeal filed by him on 08.04.2014 against the impugned order dated 27.02.2014, imposing punishment of stoppage of increment for one year with cumulative effect.

2.Heard Mr.T.Dharani, learned counsel for the Petitioner. Mr.N.Inbanathan, learned Government Advocate (Forest) takes notice on behalf of the respondents. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.In view of the impugned order of punishment dated 27.02.2014, the petitioner is bound to lose several avenues of promotion, hence, he has approached this Court for the earlier disposal of the statutory appeal. 4.Considering the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner in this writ petition, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to dispose of the pending statutory appeal on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
