By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.The petitioner was retired from service as SG conductor on 31.01.2019 from the respondent Corporation on superannuation, after completing 29 years of service. According to the petitioner, till date his terminal benefits viz., Gratuity arrears, leave surrender salary including Medical Leave, Dearness Allowance and difference of settlement salary were not paid to him. The petitioner has made several representations to the respondents. In spite of several representations, the petitioner was not paid the retirement benefits. Though, similarly affected persons have filed W.P.(MD) No.2669 of 2015 before the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court and obtained an order to settle the entire terminal benefits in nine equal https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

monthly installments awarding interest at the rate of 6% per annum for the entire terminal amount, they have not been paid the benefits. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation to the respondent on 21.08.2019. Since the same was not considered, the petitioner has filed the present petition. 3.Heard both sides.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 21.08.2019 and pass orders, within a stipulated time fixed by this Court. 5.Though the petitioner has sought for a larger relief, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.08.2019 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
