O R D E R

The present criminal original petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register the petitioner's complaint dated 17.12.2015.

2. The petitioner has lodged a complaint as against his father-in-law stating that on 16.12.2015 at about 9.00 p.m., three unknown persons, sent by his father-in-law and other family members of the petitioner's wife, illegally entered the house of the petitioner and attacked him with deadly weapons and ran away from the house leaving the petitioner unconscious. Immediately, the petitioner lodged a complaint with th respondent police. But no action has been taken on the said complaint till date. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present criminal original petition.

3. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the allegations made in the complaint do not constitute any cognizable offence. However, on receipt of the complaint of the petitioner, C.S.R.No.1078 of 2015 has been assigned and the matter is pending for enquiry.

5. In view of the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the respondent to conduct enquiry on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 17.12.2015 in C.S.R.No.1078 of 2015 and dispose the same in accordance with law, as early as possible. If no prima facie case is made out, the respondent is directed to pass an appropriate order on the complaint of the petitioner.

6. This criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
