ORDER

Civil Revision Petition has been filed seeking to pass speedy disposal of H.M.O.P.No.320 of 2019, pending on the file of the Family Court, Puducherry.

2.This Court, by an order dated 04.11.2022, directed the Judge, Family Court, Puducherry, to dispose of the case in H.M.O.P.No.320 of 2019 within a period of eight months from the date of receipt of a copy of that order. However, the learned Sessions Judge, Sessions Judge, Fast Track Court (Exclusively to deal with offences under POCSO Act), Puducherry, who has taken over the full Additional charge as the Judge, Family Court, Puducherry, has sent Letter No.78/Jud/FC/Pdy/2025/ dated 14.03.2025 stating that, on 20.11.2024, the cross examination of PW1 was closed as sufficient time was given and the case was posted for petitioner's side further evidence. Now, the respondent/husband filed an application in I.A.No.8 of 2015, dated 19.12.204 to recall PW-1 for cross examination and the said application was posted for orders on 15.03.2025. Further, it is stated that there are 1,747 cases pending before the Family Court, Puducherry, and 2/4

due to the workload of the Sessions Court dealing with offences under the POCSO Act, as well as the Family Court, she has sought six months' time to dispose of the case.

3. Taking note of the request of the learned Judge, time is extended by four months from today. Hence, the learned Sessions Judge, Fast Track Court (Exclusively to deal with offences under the POCSO Act), Puducherry, who has taken full additional charge of the Family Court, Puducherry, is directed to dispose of the case, within a further period of four months and report the same to the Registry.
