Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the third respondent to conduct a diligent and comprehensive enquiry under Section 200 & 201 of Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994 based on the petitioner's complaint dated 05.08.2023 against the fifth respondent and to take immediate and appropriate action against the fifth respondent as prescribed under Section 205 of Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994. ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.R.Jayaprakash, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader assisted by Mrs.R.Anitha, learned Special Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 4.

2. The averments made in the present petition are absolutely vague and not supported by any specific instances. The names of the persons, who are the beneficiaries to the plots alloted and from whom the fifth respondent has allegedly taken amount, are not detailed.

3. Such a petition, based on bald allegations and averments, cannot be entertained. If the petitioner has authentic information, supported with some prima facie proof of it, then may allege by filing a fresh petition. At present, this writ petition cannot be entertained.

4. In view of that, the writ petition stands disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
