ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.] Seeking a direction to respondents 1 to 3 to secure and produce the petitioner's daughter Minor girl, Parameswari, aged 17 years, who is in the illegal custody of the respondents 4 to 6 and to produce her before this Court and set her at liberty, the present habeas corpus petition has been filed. 2.Status report has been filed by the second respondent Superintendent of Police, Salem.

3.From the status report filed, it appears that this is the second time elopement of the detenue with the fourth respondent. The elopement is said to have taken place on 09.07.2019. The status report further reveals the elaborate measures taken to trace the detenue and the fourth respondent.

4.Considering the above, we are not inclined to keep this petition pending any longer. Accordingly, the habeas corpus petition stands closed while directing respondents 1 to 3 to continue with the investigation and make all efforts to secure the detenue and the fourth respondent. As and when the detenue and the fourth respondent are secured, they should be produced before the jurisdictional magistrate.
