The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Section 379 in Crime No.179 of 2021, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused were committed theft of pickup truck. Hence, the complaint.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is a student and he has nothing to do with the alleged offence. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 4.Per contra, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would submit that the petitioner is a habitual offender and that there are two previous cases in Crime Nos. 94 and 96 of 2022 similar in nature, pending against the petitioner. vkr 5.Taking into account the nature of offence and the previous antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
