[Order of the court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH,J.] Petitioner, who is the mother of the detenu viz. Thanika @ Thanikachalam, has come up with this Miscellaneous Petition seeking a direction to the Respondents to permit the detenu to take Specialized treatment to restore his Right Arm and Left Leg to normalcy. 2.
On instructions, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the Petitioner would be treated at Government Stanley Medical Hospital, Chennai. According to him, the request for treatment of the detenu at a Private Hospital cannot be considered, in view of the existence of a rival gang and as there is a serious threat to his life, which would result in law and order problem.

In view of the aforesaid submissions, we direct the Respondents to give required treatment to the detenu at Government Medical Stanley Hospital, Chennai for the fractures suffered by him and proceed with surgery, if so, advised by Doctors. We call upon the Dean of Stanley Medical College 1 / 3
Hospital, Chennai to monitor and supervise the treatment to the detenu. 4.
