O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to remove the lock and seal put in the shop located in New Street, Super Bazaar B Division measuring 420 sq.ft in Alandur, Chennai 600 16, which is in Zone No.12 in Greater Chennai Corporation within the time frame fixed by this Court.
2.The petitioner herein, the allottee of the shop measuring 420 sq.ft in New Street, Super Bazaar B Division, Alandur, Chennai under the respondents, was aggrieved by the lock and seal of the shop by the respondents for non-payment
of rent and had approached this Court by filing the writ petition seeking Mandamus to unlock the seal of the shop. 3.After notice, the respondents reported to this Court that the petitioner failed to pay the rent for months together and due to the accumulated arrears of rent to the tune of Rs.97,517/-, the shop of the petitioner was sealed. 4.In such circumstances, this Court directed the petitioner to clear the arrears in order to unseal the shop. Accordingly, the petitioner has paid a sum of Rs.97517/- on 15.10.2019 and consequently, the sealed shop of the petitioner was unsealed. Now the petitioner has put back the possession of the shop No.11, New Street, Super Bazaar, B Division, Alandur.
5.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the break of statement of the arrears amount has not been furnished by the respondents so that to ascertain whether the demand made by the respondents is correct or not. 6.The learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that within 10 days, the break of details of the rent arrears will be furnished to the petitioner.
7.Recording the same, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
