ORDER

The learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions from the petitioner, made a submission that property tax assessment was made for the building owned by the petitioner on 22.09.2017 and a sum of Rs.1,42,395/- was fixed as property tax for the half year and the petitioner is paying the property tax regularly.

2.It is further submitted that based on the property tax assessment made, the authorities of the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board have fixed the water and sewage charges for the petitioner's premises and a sum of Rs.40,192/- was fixed. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the said amount is also being paid regularly by the petitioner. Thus, property tax assessment has been made and pursuant to the said assessment, water and sewage charges are fixed, which the petitioner is paying regularly. Thus, no further adjudication needs to be entertained.

4.Mr.Sakthivel Murugan, Assistant Revenue Officer, Zone-IX, who appeared through virtual mode along with the files, informed the Court that property tax assessment was made in respect of the petitioner's premises and the petitioner is paying the property tax regularly.

In view of the submissions made, this writ petition stands disposed of as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
