Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to permit the petitioner to pay the license fee only for the utitilized buses during the partial lockdown and permit the petitioner to pay the balance amount of the license fee after deducting the sum of Rs.1.7 Crore (Rupees One crore and Seventy Lakhs Only) from the total amount of Rs.2,49,68,376/- as per the Letter No.02/ 13002/ Advt.Rev./MTC /2021 dated 17.11.2021. For Petitioner : Mr.P.Chandrasekar

O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to permit the petitioner to pay the license fee only for the utitilized buses during the partial lockdown

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that during the pendency of this petition, the license granted in favour of the petitioner was cancelled and therefore, the prayer sought in the present Writ Petition become infructuous.

3. In view of the above, this Writ Petition is closed. However liberty is granted to the petitioner to file a fresh Writ Petition challenging the subsequent cancellation order of license. Consequently connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. No costs.
