Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent namely the Sub Collector of Hosur to consider the appeal petition dated 11.03.2024 filed by the petitioner against the orders of the Tahsildhar of Shoolagiri dated 11.12.2023 within a time to be stipulated by this Court. O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the second respondent to consider the appeal petition dated 11.03.2024 filed by her against the order dated 11.12.2023 passed by the Tahsildhar, Shoolagiri, within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court.

2. According to the petitioner, she filed an application seeking issuance of joint patta in the names of the present owners of the lands in patta No.1172, Uthanapalli Village, Soolagiri Taluk, Krishnagiri District and the same was rejected by the third respondent by order dated 11.12.2023. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner filed an appeal before the second respondent on 11.03.2024 and the same is pending without any progress. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Mr.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents would submit that the appeal of the petitioner would be considered on its own merits and appropriate orders will be passed. 2/4

In view of the above submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the second respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 11.03.2024 and pass final orders, after issuing notice to all the interested parties, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
