ORDER

The prayer sought for in this writ petition is for a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent herein to issue patta to the petitioner for the property situated at Plot No.174, measuring an extent of 178.50 s q.mt (1921 sq.ft.) in the CMDA approved layout vide No.P.P.D/L.O.No.26/2010, dated 17.08.2010 and annexed hereto comprised in Old Survey No.8/2 and New Survey No.155/2 (part) Acre 15.98 out of Acres 63.88 and in old Survey No.9 and New Survey no.156(part) Acres 16.52 out of Acres 21.00 totalling 32.20 as per patta No.3311 and sub division New Survey Nos.155/2B1 and 156/2A, situated at No.118, Padianallur Village, Ponneri Taluk, Tiruvallur District.

2. In respect of the property in plot No.174 at No.118, Padianallur Village, Ponneri Taluk, Tiruvallur District for issuance of patta or change of patta in the name of the petitioner, the petitioner had given necessary application through on-line on 27.07.2022. However, the said application 2/5

so far since has not been considered, the petitioner has moved the present writ petition.

3. Reiterating the aforesaid Mr.S.Senthilvel, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks indulgence of this Court to give a direction to the second respondent to pass orders on the application of the petitioner.

Heard Mrs.N.Senthil Selvi, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, who on instructions would submit that the said application submitted by the petitioner would be considered and decided on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. Considering the said submission made by the learned counsel appearing for both sides and taking note of the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this writ petition, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following order:

That there shall be a direction to the second respondent to 3/5

consider the application submitted by the petitioner dated 27.07.2022 and pass orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six(6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
