Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus to call for the entire records of the second respondent in DO.No.C2/33/2021 dated 25.11.2021 and set aside the same and direct the 2nd respondent to produce the detenu Nadupaiyan @ Joshap s/o.Periyannayagan aged 40years now confined in Central Prison, Cuddalore before this Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in Memo DO.No.C2/33/2021 dated 25.11.2021 detaining her husband as "Bootleggers", as contemplated under Section 2(b) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.1318, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XIV) Department, dated 14.03.2022 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
