Page No.1 of 4

The present revision petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking expeditious disposal of the MCOP proceedings pending before the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Arni, Tiruvannamalai District in MCOP.No.245 of 2013.

2. Considering the limited request made by the petitioner, notice to the respondents is dispensed with.

3. Learned counsel for the revision petitioner submits that the petitioner is the claimant in the MCOP proceedings, filed seeking compensation in respect of the grievous injuries suffered by the petitioner. Learned counsel fairly submits that, initially, due to his non appearance, the said claim petition was dismissed for non-prosecution in the year 2019 and subsequently, the same was restored in the year 2021. The grievance of the petitioner is that, despite passage of four years, the said MCOP has not been disposed of. The petitioner, therefore seeks expeditious disposal of MCOP.No.245 of 2013.

4. Considering that the MCOP is of the year 2013 and that the Page No.2 of 4

same is in the stage of cross of P.W.1, this Court directs the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Arni, Tiruvannamalai District to dispose of the claim petition in MCOP.No.245 of 2013 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after hearing the parties.

5. Accordingly, this Civil Revision Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
