The petitioner has come up with this Writ Petition seeking a direction to the respondents to consider and pass orders on his representation dated 02.07.2014 seeking revision of his basic pension as Rs.10,650/- per month.

According to the petitioner, he served as a Superintendent (Selection Grade) in the office of the Assistant Director of Khadi and Village Industries, Vellore and retired from service on 31.01.1996 on attaining the age of superannuation. As per G.O.Ms.No.235, Finance (PC) Department, dated 01.06.2009, his basic pension was revised as Rs.7,784/-. As per Government Letter No.63305/PC/2010-5, Finance (PC) Department, dated 30.11.2014, read with Khadi Board's proceedings vide Pro.Ms.No.14, dated 26.06.2012, his pension has https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

to be revised at 50% of the minimum of the revised pay + Grade pay applicable to the post of Selection Grade Superintendent, which comes to Rs.10,650/- (Rs.15,600/- + GP 5700 = Rs.21,300/-, 50% is Rs.10,650/-).

Seeking revision of pension, the petitioner made a representation to the 1st respondent on 02.07.2014. Finding no response on the said representation, the petitioner has approached this Court.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's grievance will be redressed if the respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's representation within a stipulated time.

In view of the above, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.07.2014 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
