ORDER

This petition is filed to direct the learned Subordinate Court, Alandur to dispose of the case in S.C.No.167 of 2017 pending on his file as expeditiously as possible within the time stipulated by this Court. 1/4

2. The petitioner is the sole accused in the case pending in S.C.No.167 of 2017 pending on the file of Subordinate Judge, Alandur.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was earlier working in foreign country. Due to the pendency of the case, the petitioner is unable to go abroad and undertake any prosperous job. Hence he prayed a direction for the early disposal of SC.No.167 of 2017.

4. Records would show that the case has been filed as early as in the year 2017. The e-court adjudication would show that the case is being adjourned in the stage of trial repeatedly. Since the case is 5 years old, status report has been called for from the learned Subordinate Judge, Alandur. The report would reveal that summons sent to LW4 and 5 were returned as 'no response' and hence, the respondent police furnished VAO Certificate and once again, fresh summons were sent to LW4 and 5 through RPAD and the case has been posted on 15.12.2022.

5. Since the case is 5 years old, it is appropriate to impress the learned Subordinate Judge, Alandur to take up the case in S.C.No.167 of 2017 by giving shorter adjournments preferably in two to three days interval and dispose of the same, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
