PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to dispose the Statuary Appeal filed by the petitioner on 16.08.2023 within a stipulated time as this Court may fix.

O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 16.08.2023 pending on its' file within a time fixed by this Court.

2. According to the petitioner, she submitted an online application before the 2nd respondent seeking cancellation of patta issued in favour of 3rd respondent in respect of properties situated in Old Survey No.21/2, New Survey No.21/2A2, Old Survey No.21/16, New Survey No.21/16B2A at Allikondapattu Village, Thiruvannamalai District. The application of the petitioner was rejected by the 2nd respondent on 03.08.2023 by his proceedings in Sae.Mu.No.G1/3873/2023. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the 1st respondent on 16.08.2023. The said appeal is still pending without any progress. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court. 3.The learned Additional Government Pleader, who is taking notice for the respondents 1 and 2, submitted that the appeal pending on the file of 1st respondent will be disposed of on its' own merits within a time fixed by this Court.

In view of the same, this Court, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, is inclined to direct the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 16.08.2023 on its' own merits within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order after issuing necessary notice to the petitioner as well as the 3rd respondent.
