O R D E R

Heard Mr.K.R.Krishnan, the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Diwakar, the learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and with the consent of either side, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner has filed this writ petition for issuance of a direction to the second respondent to place his application, dated 27.2.2015, for removal of Savadu from P.W.D. Tank in S.No.S.No.541 of Voyalur Village, Periya Thamarai Eri U1voi Poramboke, Ponneri Taluk, Thiruvallore District, before the Special Committee, constituted for such service, namely, the first respondent.

3. The petitioner would rely upon the reports submitted by the Executive Engineer of P.W.D., Water Resources Department, dated 13.3.2015, the report of the Tahsildar, Ponneri, dated 8.3.2016 as well as the Revenue Divisional Officer, Ponneri, dated 23.3.2016, accompanied by the Survey reports of the officers. With these facts, the petitioner has submitted a representation on 06.10.2016 to the second respondent, which is now pending consideration.

4. In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the contentions raised by the petitioner, there will be a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 06.10.2016, verify all the details and if it is legally permissible and if there is no other impediment, the papers may be placed before the first respondent/Special Committee. The above direction shall be complied with within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
